The VOGELFREI Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public understanding of spatial change through documentary film and interdisciplinary research. We produce and support work that documents how places transform under economic, environmental, and social pressure — and we make that work available to the communities it concerns, as well as to researchers, educators, and the public.

All contributions to VOGELFREI directly fund production, research travel, and community screenings in the regions we document.
